Ramsbottom Festival 2016

The Ramsbottom Festival is annual music festival which takes place on the outskirts of Ramsbottom town, just south of Bury. I last visited a couple of years ago (photographs here), and have been wanting to get ever since. Of all the music festivals I’ve been to, it’s definitely the most relaxed and family-friendly.

I spent the last day of the festival exploring the site with my camera in tow, documenting both bands onstage and various acts that traversed the festival grounds. I witnessed all manner of sights, from sword swallowing to a golden robot man giving out hugs.

I’ve selected a few highlights to share below. You can find the full gallery over on flickr here. My favourite is the shot of Gordie MacKeeman leaping off the double bass, which required a quick run though the crowd in order to capture the moment.
